LBIMUN Assignments

Today we handed out committee and country assignments for LBIMUN, Laguna Beach High School's conference on March 28th. This year Thurston delegates are in two committees: WHO (World Health Organization) and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization). The full list is in the announcement.

We also did an introductory activity to get everyone familiar with LBIMUN.

Over the next few classes we'll write position papers for every student's country, covering the background, UN action, country policy, and potential solutions. After that we'll work on speeches.

No class on March 19th because of the high school's annual travel conference.
