Political Spectrum, Social Contract, and Flash Debates

This week we reviewed what we went over last week: the political spectrum and the social contract.

We split everyone into groups of 3 to 5, mostly with people they don't usually sit with. The discussions went really well. Everyone got to talk, and people heard ideas they might not have heard from their friends.

After that we did flash debates on the social contract, specifically the balance between individual freedom and government power. Some of the questions were:

Should the Pledge of Allegiance be mandatory in school?
Should hateful speech be allowed on social media?

We finished the meeting with donuts.
